August Update

We have had a very busy season this year and many mosquitoes have tried to take over. We have another big push to visit all of our known habitats before October to make sure no West Nile Vectors are hatching.

August is the number one month for West Nile transmission and with the recent rains we now need to double check all properties for standing water in tires, containers, and tarps.

You may see our crews around and if they come to your home please allow them access to check your property for standing water. These container breeding mosquitoes primarily bite birds but around this time of the year they start changing their bitting behavior to larger prey. This is why West Nile cases start picking up.
